I have just watched the black Labrador tutorial. It’s so detailed and well written & delivered that I now have more confidence & knowledge to finish my portrait of my black labradoodle. I can now see where I need to address some of the colours to get the right contours & what colours to look for beyond grey & black. Thanks so much Sue!

This is a great one with loads of tips, advice and colour choices, a must if you want to learn more about painting black dogs.

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!! Absolutely LOVED this tutorial, it’s my favourite one I’ve done so far. Black fur is normally very tricky but Sue explained every detail so very well which made doing the fur alot easier! I only started using pastels a few months ago and I can certainly see a huge improvement all thanks to Sue. Definitely would recommend her tutorials to anyone, even beginners! I have learnt so much from her, she’s an amazing teacher and artist. Thank you Sue.

Wow at last I can say I did not run out of tooth. At last I am able to do much lighter layers. Thanks to Sue KH I for this tutorial as I have really learned how to layer and create depth.Thank you Sue for another great tutorial.

Watched and painted alongside the tutorial, amazing techniques by Sue, so many layers and colours!

But the best thing, you can revisit each part again and again to improve your own technique.

Finally finished the labrador tutorial (had to finish painting my kitchen first!). Thanks to Sue Kerrigan-Harris for a super tutorial, really helped me understand layering, tones and how to create depth. Didn’t have the exact colours so improvised.
