Pan Watercolours - blues and greens and a water spray
Set of soft pastels. any brand will do if you don't have Unisons. A 72 set Jaxell brand is a good beginner set.

I was hesitant to try this one because it says for advanced and I am far from advanced. I tried it anyway and the result turned out to be one of my favorites so far. I loved learning how to do the watercolor background, and will use it sometime again on something else. On every one of Sue Kerrigan-Harris’ tutorials I feel there have been several take aways that were learned and will be used regularly. They are easy to follow and understand. I also love she focuses on basic ideas and techniques leaving plenty of room for your own touch and style. Can’t wait to do more!

Love this tutorial. The watercolor background lesson was simple and easy and added so much to the painting. I plan to do it again for other backgrounds. The directions Sue walks you through are perfect. She teaches you great techniques that I would never have figured out in my own. Just loved it.

A fantastic tutorial. Sue manages to show you the technic you need in a way everyone can follow. On Pastelmat the water colour doesn‘t react in the same way as it does on water colour paper and Sue gives you some good tips in this technic as well. I highly recommend this tutorial for advanced beginners.

Just finished Sue’s fox tutorial. Loved it. Lots of clear instructions. Learned new techniques of layering in order to create fur. Also used a watercolour background which I’ll definitely be trying again. Looking forward to the next tutorial.
