For Art Groups & Art Societies

I’m delighted to be able to offer Art Demonstrations and Art Workshops to Art Groups and Art Societies.

I am able to offer demonstrations in soft pastel of people or animals.  I can provide a good introduction to pastels showing a selection of different papers that can be used and you’re welcome to try out some pastels on the different papers.  Although a 2 hour demonstration isn’t enough time to complete a portrait I do ensure that I cover every aspect of a portrait from the background to all the features that make up an animal or person.

I can offer Workshops over the weekend, one or two days depending on your requirements.   The workshop can be tailored to suit your requirements with either everybody painting the same portrait e.g. a dog portrait in 1 day or over 1 – 2 days for students to bring their own photos to paint.  I’m very flexible and open to any suggestion you may have.

Demonstration Feedback

I recently demonstrated to an Art Group in Whiteparish, Hampshire.  They provided me with some lovely feedback and all 15 of them said they would recommend me to other Art Groups.  Here’s some of their feedback:

You were informative and honest and everyone felt relaxed enough to ask questions as the demo porogressed.  The information about materials, papers and how to use them was especially enjoyable. Thank you for a very successful session.  Sue Taylor Whiteparish Art Group.

Excellent introduction and very well explained demonstration, I would recommend Sue for a very well structured and informative demonstration.  A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

A friendly and relaxed session, amazing work, I hadn’t seen pastels demonstrated before. I enjoyed the artists explanations and clarity and also enjoyed seeing the different types of pastel papers that are available.

Informative and interesting, very good at answering questions.  I especially enjoyed seeing the progression of work and all the explanations when questions were asked.  I’ve learnt a lot and will be inspired to practice more.

I really enjoyed the demonstration Sue – beautiful work, thank you!  I particularly enjoyed finding out about the equipment used, colours, techniques and all the professional tips and tricks.
