On this one day workshop you can pastel your own human portrait.  For this I will need a good photograph of the person you’d like to pastel.  Please email this to me. I’m being quite strict on the quality of this photo because the better the quality of the photo the easier it will be for you to achieve a likeness.  You’ll be using a grid to get a likeness then transfer to pastel paper.  I’ll then show you how to use Caran D’Ache pastel pencils to add the tones and highlights to create a 3D effect.   The cost, is £45 for the day including materials.  Refreshments included. The 2 day Horse workshop will be Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of June. The cost is £100 for the 2 days and includes a buffet lunch both days. Some people are coming a long way and will be staying over night. (Local B&B list available on request) You can pay in instalments with just a £20 deposit and then £20 monthly for 4 months. The first day will be learning skills and doing small studies, looking at techniques for eyes, fur, noses and leather and also an opportunity to try different pastel papers if desired. The second day will be putting the skills into practice with a full horse portrait. A choice of 2 horses, one suitable for beginners and the other intermediate to advanced.
