Introduction to Soft Pastel One Day Workshop

On this one day workshop you will learn about and use all the different types of pastels: hard pastels, soft pastels, pastel pencils and pan pastels (not oil pastels) Learn how to use the pastels and discover the different types of paper available. Learn how to create different effects with pastels, how to build up layers and achieve detail, how to create a stunning seascape and more. For beginners and those new to the pastel medium. The cost of £45 Includes tea and coffee throughout the day and all materials. If you would like to take a set of pastels and a selection of specialist pastel papers home the cost is £59. You will also receive information sheets to remind you of the skills you have learnt and access to my Facebook Group to ask questions and continue your learning. Please bring your own lunch. Soft Pastel One Day Workshop Paint Your Pet Saturday May 11th 2019 10-4pm Marchwood Village Hall

On this one day workshop you will paint your own pet in soft pastel – cat or dog (contact me for other animals). I’ll show you how to draw your pet (even if you have limited drawing skills) then work through from the initial under painting to adding fine details. You will need to provide your own photograph of your pet. This must be high quality with good lighting. I can give your more advice on this as it is very important to start with a good photo. The cost, if you have your own pastels is £45, if you need to borrow pastel supplies the cost is £50. Tea and coffee included throughout the day plus information sheets to remind you of the skills you have learnt. Plus access to my Facebook Group to ask questions and continue your learning. Soft Pastel One Day Workshop Monochrome Portrait Saturday October 12th 2019 10-4pm Marchwood Village Hall

On this one day workshop you will learn how to paint a portrait in monochrome. I will supply photos but please feel free to bring your own quality portrait photos I’ll show you how to draw your portrait (even if you have limited drawing skills) then how to paint eyes, skin, lips, ears and hair plus basic clothing. The cost, if you have your own pastels is £45, if you need to borrow pastel supplies the cost is £50. Paper & drawing board provided. Tea and coffee included throughout the day plus information sheets to remind you of the skills you have learnt. Plus access to my Facebook Group to ask questions and continue your learning.
