I thought this might be interesting to share with the group .
I started Pastelling with Sue in July ( no previous experience with Art in any form . One of the first workshops I attended was The Balinese Cat ( or Bat Cat as I ended up naming it😂🤣😂) It was a disaster and ended up in the ‘ will probably go in the bin folder) and I was very reluctant to attempt another cat drawing . I was recently asked if I would take on 2 cat portraits as a Commission..my initial reaction was ‘as if 😱 ‘ ..but then decided to face my fear …it’s been a struggle but I did work through it . Thank you. Sue Kerrigan-Harris for giving me the courage to face my fear ..and for your support …plus my other Friends in this amazing group

One thing I have noticed about Artists, that’s any level from complete beginner to professional is that they (we!) all have off days and think our work is rubbish!! When in fact it’s very good. I think you did a great job with Bat Cat – if it was your first or tenth cat, it was good and that is why you were able to go on and do the other 2 cats. Really well done Karen. 🙂
