Hi I recently watched a tutorial on a black Cocker Spaniel and It really sorted out the highlights as everything is black . I haven’t actually painted it as yet as I like to just sit and watch at first and now I have the confidence to do it thank you very much Sue Art by Sue Kerrigan-Harris Portraits & Tuition

Hi Sue Thank you for this tutorial. It is the second one I have done. I must say that I did battle with the ears but learned a huge amount. I have started the picture again and the ears are looking better but I am going to practices them before I carry on so I can get them looking as great as yours.
I just also want to say that I am loving The Hub. I just wish I had more time in a day. Thanks again you have taught me so much in just a short time.

A fabulous tutorial, thanks Sue. I have done a few of Sue’s tutorials now and have learned so much. I can see improvements in my work as I do more – so much of this is due to Sue’s advice and the techniques she teaches. Sue puts a huge amount of work into her tutorials and this one is several hours’ worth, so thank you Sue!

I loved this cocker spaniel the minute I saw it. Bought it and enjoyed every minute of Sue’s tutorial. I learned so much about black fur and I even got so brave that I went and bought black gouache and painted the background as Sue did. What I learned from that was – always blend so much paint that you don’t have to do it twice cause it’s so difficult to blend to batches that are exactly the same. Love cocker spaniels and I love Sues tutorials. Thanks for being a great teacher.
