If you are struggling with dodgy client photo references then this is a tutorial for you (and also if you just love cats and detail!!) The trouble with poor references photos is that you don't know what is missing from the detail and you can't draw what you can't see. It's so important to learn from quality photos so you can improve your work when you get a poor quality photo.

Sue is a wonderful teacher. The tutorial is full of information from how to choose the colours to creating the fine detail in the eye. The added benefit of it being on line is that you can rewatch the tutorial again and slow it down so that you can easily see what to do.

I really loved this tutorial! Learned a lot, not only about the eye but also about drawing/building the furr. Although I do cat drawings for a year now my eyes are openend on many more details. I have never worked with soft pastils before (always used pan pastels and pencils) but now I love that too. Thank you Sue for a very good tutorial!

Sue guides you step by step with all the help and advice you could possibly need.
I feel confident to start a complete cat now 😊.

Loved this tutorial. Sue explains her colour choices and techniques so you can draw the different textures of shiny eye as well as fur. Really pleased with my drawing and looking forward to doing her kitten tutorial next. Sue’s teaching is really easy to follow and she’s so supportive of my artistic journey

Sue is a great teacher with clear and easy to follow instructions. Well worth doing!

I wasn’t able to join the live art class for this tutorial but that didn’t matter. The video that Sue provides is just like having a private lesson with her.
I surprised myself with this one. After going through a bit of a scrappy stage the finished picture looked like a cat’s eye.
Sue takes you through everything step by step and you can review the video again and again so that you don’t miss anything. Another bonus is that the link to the video is yours to keep. I plan to repeat the tutorial again in the future to see how I improve after Sue’s tutorials and classes.
