I'll show you how to recreate this class favourite - the highland cow.  I'll start with some out of focus (bokeh) effect grass and the horns then move on to the cow's fur using a combination of Unison soft pastel sticks and pastel pencils.  I'll talk you though my techniques real-time so you get to know my thought processes whilst showing you exactly what I'm doing. You'll have a ring side seat watching over my shoulder in HD quality video.
Additional Learning Points:

This was a game changer for me in learning to do hair. And who doesn’t love these cows? Very easy to follow along. I learned so much and look forward to doing gmore.

Wow! I loved doing this tutorial. I was daunted by the textures of the hair, but Sue clearly explained how to build up the depth of the layers of the cow’s coat. I learned so much in this tutorial about choosing toning colours of pastels as I didn’t have all the exact same pencils as she had. This is the first painting I have done where both my daughters asked for it as they liked it so much. Down to Sue’s excellent, detailed tuition I got a result I was proud of. Thanks Sue!
