I found the Horse Eye Tutorial very thorough and it was broken down into easy stages to follow. Sue gradually guides you through a project and gives very helpful tips along the way. I never really gave a sharp pencil much thought before, but now I realise it makes all the difference when needed. Sue talks throughout the video and it is a great help being able to slow the video down and rewatch when needed.

I thoroughly enjoyed doing the Horse eye tutorial. Although I consider myself a fully versed landscape artist ( in oils). I have switched to working in pastels and have been challenging myself to broaden the scope of my artwork. I have never done anything like this before and I’m very glad that I did. I am very pleased with the results and it has given me the confidence to try other things like animal portraits.
I also have picked up many little techniques on just how to use the tools associated with pastels. Like the rubber blender and the pan pastel soft tool.
I am looking forward to working on a horse portrait as one of my future projects.
