A cute little girl portrait in soft pastel.

The little girl is super cute and she's going to be a joy to pastel! I've chosen a close crop as I don't want her bold pink hat to be a distraction.  I'll show you how to practice skin tones before you start the portrait.

This was my first time doing a portrait tutorial after having tried to muddle my way through alone. Sue’s tuition is just so good – calm, patient & well thought out. Sue makes sure the learner has everything they need to complete the study. I was blown away by what I achieved doing this lesson & I will definitely be doing the full portrait course. Thank you so much.

I found this tutorial by Sue Kerrigan-Harris such an enjoyable journey. I was anxious to start with having attempted (and never finished) two portraits previously. Sue guided us through the portrait so thoroughly and clearly, and I found my confidence growing throughout the process as the little face began to appear. The videos Sue sends the next day are invaluable as I could play parts over several times to try and capture the image. I would definitely recommend this tutorial to anyone who would like to try painting a portrait.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial
Sue is excel at explaining how to create different effects, details the colours she is using and provides alternative suggestions
I was very scared of doing skin and hair but I am pleased with what I achieved following the course
Another 10 out of 10 from me
